Listen To An Unreleased David Bowie Album From 1974

first_imgIn true artistic fashion, David Bowie left this planet with many gifts. Beyond the decades worth of music that the pop star released during his lifetime, he also prepared for records to be released after his death. Today, a new box set was released Who Can I Be Now? (1974-1976),  a catalogue from Bowie’s “plastic soul” era.The box set includes an unreleased album from this era, called The Gouster, mixing R&B, soul, and funk music. The album includes a re-recorded version of “John, I’m Only Dancing”, as well as heavy-hitters “Young Americans”, “Somebody Up There Likes Me”, and “Can You Hear Me?”, tracks that all made their way onto Bowie’s 1975 Young Americans. You can stream The Gouster today, which starts at track 50 in the What Can I Be Now? box set, below. We miss you, Starman.[H/T CoS]last_img
