The room, even more packed than the night before, filled with Allman Brothers’ friends, family, and fans, all who carried a contagious buzz from the infectious energy coming from the stage. Returning to ABB staples, the night opened with “Hot ‘Lanta” and soared through “Ain’t Wasting Time,” “Dreams,” “In Memory of Elizabeth Reed,” even incorporating Bruce Katz original, “Just An Expression,” and Dr. John classic, “Gilded Splinters” in a set filled with several decades worth of material. The highlight of the evening was a rip-roaring “Mountain Jam” encore, featuring some incredible guitar-work between Pearson, who played with ABB from 1997-99, and his guitar mate Pat Bergeson. Watch the 24-minute jam, courtesy of Heather Gillis:  “I Can Fix It”Sentimental about the weekend, Trucks shared his thoughts on his Facebook page from the Atlanta airport:“I knew that Les Brers was going to be good but DAMN!!!! We did stuff I wouldn’t have believed. So great to really jam and jam with people who have the guts to leap off the cliff and soar with the eagles or, as happened once last night, hit the ground, pick ourselves up and go somewhere we’ve never been before. Thank you Jaimoe, Oteil, Marc, Jack, Lamar, Bruce, Pat and Jamie and Tad. Will see you all for the midnight set, Friday April 15, at Wanee. Be ready to PLAY ALL NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!”As mentioned, Les Brers will be playing at Wanee Music Festival in April and again at the Peach Music Festival in August. A reliable source also has expressed that Boston, NYC, Philly and a South East run are all in the works for later this year. We look forward to confirming more dates with Les Brers.Butch and Oteil will also be hosting Roots Rock Revival, a 4-day adventure into the world of southern rock, as a pre-Peach-party, complete with daily musical workshops and late-night jams alongside North Mississippi Allstars brothers Luther Dickinson & Cody Dickinson, legendary saxophonist Bill Evans, the one-and-only Col. Bruce Hampton, as well as Roosevelt Collier, Bruce Katz, Sister Sparrow, and many more.
